FacilityWISE

About Us

FacilityWISE preserves the intelligence required to protect historic, iconic buildings and landmarks.

Preserving InTelligence

We exist to institutionalize stewardship for the world's most iconic buildings and landmarks.
We believe preservation is not documentation alone. It is a disciplined, measurable practice of stewardship.

  • Historic and mission-critical buildings carry more than function. They carry legacy, responsibility, and public trust.
  • The knowledge required to care for them remains fragile — often dependent on individuals, scattered across systems, and vulnerable to turnover.
  • FacilityWISE exists to solve this structural gap.
  • Preservation InTelligence transforms care from memory-based to system-based.
  • We institutionalize the knowledge behind maintenance decisions, enforce the Preservation Care Standards, and quantify accountability — ensuring operational wisdom is never lost.

FacilityWISE preserves the intelligence required to protect it.

Institutional White Paper

Founder's Origin — Louie F. Wise, III

The Standard Born from Inheritance

Stewardship is not learned in a classroom first. It is inherited.

My mentorship began across generations — working beside craftsmen, tradespeople, and leaders who understood that knowledge is conveyed, not assumed.

My grandfather had a sixth-grade education. He taught disciplined thinking, practical solutions, and the responsibility of passing knowledge forward.

As a third-generation mechanical contractor, I was raised inside complex systems where precision is non-negotiable. Mechanical systems expose weaknesses immediately. They demand structure.

At the M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction, that foundation expanded into systems integration — understanding how buildings operate as living, interdependent organisms.

However, across historic campuses and mission-critical institutions worldwide, a contradiction emerged.

The world's most iconic buildings were engineered with rigor. The stewardship protecting them was informal.

Knowledge retired.

Standards shifted.

Continuity relied on memory.

Institutions entrusted with centuries of legacy depended on generational luck. Preservation requires infrastructure.

FacilityWISE was built to formalize the conveyance of knowledge across generations — transforming stewardship into a measurable, enforceable global standard.

Through collaboration with leaders such as Robert Blackshaw of the State of Michigan, Preservation InTelligence was refined within public-sector environments where accountability, compliance, and continuity are non-negotiable.

Today, FacilityWISE operates as a global preservation platform — dedicated to the betterment, improvement, and protection of the world's oldest and most iconic buildings.

Preservation InTelligence institutionalizes what master builders have always understood:

Knowledge must outlive the individual.

Standards must transcend generations.

Stewardship must be structural.

Historic and iconic buildings endure, and now their fragile preservation intelligence does too.
